Zero Tolerance Policy
There will be a zero tolerance policy adopted to any member who is found to be abusive to staff, other club members or guests. There will also be a zero tolerance policy to any member or person who causes a nuisance by noise, or any other means to neighbours, members of the public, staff, other club members or guests, or who undertakes any illegal activity on our premises (to include car park, garden etc.).
The Committee has the power under our Rules to Suspend or Exclude members for conduct which it thinks is detrimental to the good of the club.
We believe that members will all support this policy which largely restates the existing position.
CONSIDERATION TO OUR NEIGHBOURS:
Neighbours have alerted us to the fact that people are occasionally making use of our garden, smoking shed and car park after club closing time. The fact that this can go on after midnight makes the nuisance even worse for those neighbours. Hopefully this nuisance is not being caused by club members but by people unconnected with BVC.
We have always recognised the importance of maintaining a good relationship with our neighbours – whilst bearing in mind that the club has been here a long time and that there will always be some consequences for neighbours, but using our facilities and making a noise after closing time is not acceptable.
Please do be considerate when leaving the club or using the garden and smoking shed, keep noise levels low – particularly later in the evening say from 9pm when neighbours / children may be trying to sleep.
CONSIDERATION TO OUR STAFF
We allow a 20 minute drinking up time after last orders are called. During that time our staff are clearing up, cleaning and preparing for the following day. They are paid for 30 minutes after bar closing time. They have homes to go to and they need to sleep!
Please leave promptly and do not stay in the club later than 20 minutes after bar closing time, at which time you should leave the premises.
Please Note: Opening times will be different over the Christmas period & for functions: Details for such times will be advertised for the specific event on the website and on the Club notice board.
